Is Card Vaulty free to use?

Yes. Scanning, identifying, vault storage and live price lookups are free with no card limit on personal vaults. Optional premium features may be added in the future, but the core workflow stays free.

How accurate is the AI card scanner?

We use Google Gemini Vision to read printed details, then match against the official Pokémon TCG database (pokemontcg.io). On clear photos of standard English-language cards the first suggestion is correct the vast majority of the time. We always show the top three matches so you can confirm when a reprint, promo, or foreign variant is involved.

Which sets and games are supported?

All English-language Pokémon TCG sets indexed by the official Pokémon TCG API, from Base Set through the latest Scarlet & Violet releases, including most promos and special sets. Japanese-exclusive sets have limited coverage today; we are expanding this over time.

Where do the prices come from?

Card data and marketplace estimates are retrieved through the Pokémon TCG API (pokemontcg.io), including available Cardmarket (EU) and TCGPlayer (US) pricing. Values shown on CardVaulty are indicative estimates converted to GBP — not guaranteed sale prices. Upstream marketplaces refresh at their own cadence.

Are my photos or vault data shared?

Photos you scan are sent securely over HTTPS to our AI recognition service for identification. If you save the card to your vault, a copy of the image may be stored in your private collection so you can see it later. You can remove any saved photo (by deleting the card) at any time. Vault contents are private by default and protected by row-level access control: only you can read or modify your collection. See our privacy notice for full details on retention and processing.

Can I delete my account and data?

Self-serve account deletion is on the roadmap. In the meantime you can delete individual cards, wishlist entries and notes from your vault at any time, or email us and we will remove your account and associated data on request.

Do you sell my data or show ads?

No. We do not sell user data and the app is currently ad-free. If we introduce optional sponsored content in the future it will be clearly labelled.

Does Card Vaulty work on mobile?

Yes. The site is fully responsive and the scanner uses your phone's camera directly. There is no native app required.

Can I export my collection?

CSV export is on the roadmap. Your data always belongs to you — if you need a copy of your vault before the export feature ships, email us and we will provide one.
